I liked your 30th episode. You spent a lot of time on skills training. I have a long dirt bike and trials background, as well as street. I have two quick points: Kevin Schwanz won the 500cc GP road race championship in the past, and he started out in trials. He’s still very good. Observed Trials, which the AMA calls Moto Trials now, is a great way to learn all about how to have fine control of all the controls, clutch, front and rear brakes, throttle, plus weight transfer and balance. You could totally feel comfortable in those slow-riding tests you mentioned. The skills even apply to racing off road and riding street bikes, so it is worth finding a way to ride a trials bike. They have some riding in CA and in Pennsylvania! You aren’t required to ride up walls as a beginner. It’s good for all levels of skill starting out. Also, any riding you expect to do in the dirt involves a fitness aspect. You will enjoy it a lot more if you have been, or have started, doing your push-ups and squats! Love you two, and all your shows!
